The Niçois autumn
November gives Nice a unique atmosphere. The calmer days reveal a more intimate city, perfect for wandering.
From the Soleia, it takes only a few minutes to reach the city’s cultural arteries: the Promenade des Arts, Vieux-Nice, or the gardens of the Coulée Verte. Under the season’s soft light, each stroll becomes a sensory experience, the sound of pebbles underfoot, the scent of orange trees, the whisper of the sea, a perfect backdrop to rediscover the city in a new light.

Exhibitions to discover
In November, Nice’s museums offer a rich and varied program, perfect for extending the cultural season while enjoying the calm of the off-season.
-
Centre du Patrimoine – Le Sénat
Until November 30, 2025
“115°5, La Baie des Anges or the Evolution of the Landscape” invites visitors on a journey through time. The exhibition traces the transformation of Nice’s coastline — from its once wild bay to today’s emblematic Promenade des Anglais. -
Musée des Beaux-Arts Jules Chéret
“Raoul Dufy, The Miracle of Imagination” pays tribute to the vibrant palette of the Niçois artist, a master of color and the Mediterranean joie de vivre. A luminous visit, just like the Côte d’Azur itself. -
Musée Matisse
Recently reopened, the museum presents “Matisse and the Mediterranean”, a winter exhibition exploring the deep connection between the artist and the sea — a constant source of inspiration throughout his work.
Artistic strolls and autumn inspirations
Beyond its museums, Nice in November is an open-air gallery. The quieter Vieux-Nice reveals its sunlit alleys where local galleries and artists’ studios welcome the curious. The Promenade des Arts connects the Coulée Verte to the Théâtre National — an urban path dotted with installations and temporary exhibits. The Colline du Château, a lush green hill overlooking the city, offers a breathtaking panorama of the Baie des Anges — particularly magical in the golden light of late afternoon.
